This is the core activity at Damajagua. You navigate a series of limestone chutes, deep pools, and cascades on your way down.
After completing your hike, you descend the canyon through the river. You can choose to slide down natural rock chutes, swim through caves, or jump off cliffs into deep pools.
All jumps are completely optional. Visitors can always use natural slides or climb down wooden ladders instead. The water level dictates access. Upper waterfalls close during heavy rain or severe droughts.

This is the entry point for most cruise ship excursions. It offers a solid mix of swimming and moderate jumps. The descent takes about 1.5 hours. This route is ideal for families with children aged 8 and up.
10 minutesLadders available
La Tinaja is a deep pool enclosed by smooth rock walls shaped like a jar. You spend about 10 minutes here swimming and navigating the drop. If you do not want to jump, use the built-in wooden ladders or the natural slide.
2-3 hours descentJumps up to 8m (25 ft)
The higher section of the 27-fall route features the steepest natural slides. You will encounter jumps up to 8 meters (25 feet) high. The full descent takes 2 to 3 hours. Only tackle this section if you are fit, over 12 years old, and comfortable with heights.
